Project Finance Associate

The Candidate will be part of the Italian Banch team based in Milan with a direct reporting line to the General Manager and a functional reporting to the Structured Finance department.
Job Description Responsibilities:
Act as a support and link between the Project Finance team and the Italian market with constant reporting and communication to project finance teams;
Work closely with the relationship and credit functions of the Bank in originating financing transactions for corporates and private equity-sponsor-backed portfolio companies;
Attending meetings with clients, target companies, infrastructure funds and local banks;
Negotiate and review all available documentation;
Analysis of legal documentation with the support of the legal and tax department;
Monitoring and reviewing the Due Diligence process including all technical, legal, financial and tax aspects among others;
Attend the project finance team in the risk admission process coordinating with other areas involved in the entire analysis process (advice, Legal, Tax, Environmental Risk, etc;
Prepare memorandums and proposals for the credit department;
Assist the relationship managers in their CFO/CEO dialogue across a range of industries: TMT, energy, metals & mining, real estate, logistics & transportation, and retail;
Maintain regular interaction with private equity sponsors, the Loan and Syndicate desks and corporate bankers to source deal opportunities;
Attend investor presentations;
Monitoring and day-to-day management of the portfolio.
Requirements and key competences
Degree in business, economics or engineering with extensive financial knowledge. Masters and postgraduates will be evaluated positively;
4-6 years of documented professional experience in project finance team within other banks;
Proven experience in structured finance and project finance products and services;
Availability to travel and ability to work as a team;
Advanced level of Excel with experience in the elaboration and interpretation of financial projections;
