Bilbao HQ Office We are looking for a Global Senior Controller who will be part of the global Finance Controlling department in the Bilbao HQ office.

Job Description

As a Senior Controller, you will report to the Controlling Director also based in Bilbao and be part of the controlling team distributed between Bilbao and Antwerp. This role will interact with colleagues across all Sibelco locations.

As the department has been recently created, you will work on producing reports of high standards using Power BI and ensure data accuracy by collaborating with other internal teams, and you will provide high quality analysis on deviations and KPIs.

We are therefore looking for someone comfortable working in an environment where processes still need to be fully set-up and where there may be ambiguity on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities:

Design and produce standard and ad hoc reports, incl. variance analysis and relevant, insightful, and accurate commentary.

Conduct scenario analysis and modelling using data visualization tools to support business decisions.

Manage budget and forecast processes, both on the technical development and side and regarding communication and alignment with stakeholders. Ensure budget / forecasting, business review, and other management reporting deadlines are met.

Monitor performance and provision of regular insight into the drivers of performance, highlighting opportunities to maximize growth.

Perform analysis on both financial and operational information (sales, profitability, working capital, production costs…)

Contribute on the preparation of monthly and ad-hoc Board packs.

Create and maintain dashboards and standard management reports.

Identify process improvement opportunities and support the delivery of improvements in processes, systems, and procedures.

Ensure data quality and documentation of relevant processes is created and maintained.

Build strong relationships with the finance teams in the operating companies and other Global functions.

Your profile:

At least 5 years of experience in a controller position, preferable in a large or multinational organization.

You have Finance KPIs knowledge, excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, and are used to interpret financial information and provide analysis and commentary.

You already have experience using PowerBI in a professional environment (you’ll be expected to use Power BI from the start, so we are unable to consider beginners for this position).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Experience in SAP and Tagetik is a plus.

You have proficiency level of English to communicate with senior stakeholders across the business.

Pro-active, you enjoy taking initiatives to drive things forward and make improvements.

You are at ease with ambiguity to deal with changing business needs and priorities.

Execution driven; you are comfortable meeting deadlines.
